The Presidential Scholars in Society and Neuroscience program at Columbia University bridges the gap between academic disciplines and provides opportunities for collaboration among neuroscientists and scholars in the arts, humanities and social sciences. Presidential Scholars and affiliated faculty work across many different fields, and their projects often do not fit the typical mold of grant-funded research. Support from the PSSN program enables the independent cross-disciplinary research, educational, and outreach efforts of our Scholars and fosters communication and knowledge sharing within an expanding community of faculty, students and postdocs with interests in mind, brain, and behavior.
To build on the growth and success achieved so far, Presidential Scholars in Society and Neuroscience is expanding its search for funding. The program welcomes donations to support the current and future Presidential Scholars, public lectures and events, or interdisciplinary faculty research initiatives.
